  These soft jelly candies that have been around for over a century are wonderful sweet treats that have been enjoyed by millions. Each baby has its own name and flavour: Brilliant (red; strawberry), Bubbles (yellow; lemon), Baby Bonny (pink; raspberry), Boofuls (green; lime), Bigheart (purple; blackcurrant), and Bumper (orange).
  Did you know that when Bassett’s began production of Jelly Babies, they were originally named “Peace Babies” and released in celebration of the end of World War I in 1918? Production had to cease during World War II due to wartime shortages, but the fantastic and colourful sweets made a great return in 1953 under the current name, “Jelly Babies!
